OFFICIAL SELECTION & NOTIFICATION The selection jury will be comprised of TV and Film professionals as well as leaders in the technology field. Festival selections will be announced around September 2017. All selection entries will be posted at WWW.LONDONDRONEFILMFESTIVAL.COM and notified by email. Selected entrants will be required to supply exhibition format digital files of their films for the actual festival screening.
All entries should be no longer than 5 minutes in length with more than 50% or the footage being shot using a drone or aerial vechicle.
By entering your film into the London Drone film festival you are authorising and validating that your submission has been cleared for festival exhibition and hold full legal responsibility for the copyright and intellectual property of the submisison.

CATEGORIES:

The festival judges will present awards to films in the following categories:

STILL PHOTOGRAPHY – A magical moment in time. Show us how you are able to capture a moment that moves the audience in a way that shows off the versatility of drones.

TECHNICAL– Show us a film that showcases your talent and control that makes people think how did they do that? Surprise us with complex shots that look beautiful and have the wow factor.

NARRATIVE– Show us how your drone footage helps to bind a story together. It should not be separate to the story but complement the story in a way that causes the audience to be pulled into the scene and not distracted from the story.

EXTREME SPORTS– Pretty self explanatory

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE– Show us how you use drone technology to showcase the beauty of nature or achitecture, we want to see unique perspectives and creative visual storytelling.

SHOWREEL– Do you want to showcase your work in different categories? then this is the place for you.

SELFIE – It is what it is.

SPECIAL – This is for footage that does not fit into any other category, surprise us with something amazing and unique.
